We offer managed hosting services. This means that we deal with all tech support issues related to the visibilty of your site.

We use hosting providers that meet requirements for sustainable energy usage. In addition, our design office has always been heated soley with wood, we do not use AC and a lot of our work is done on efficient low-consumption devices & computers. We even make our coffee on the wood stove!

You can find hosting on your own for a little less than we might charge. But consider the following steps required to set up AND maintain it:

Set-up domain hosting accounts

Before you can have a site, you need a domain name. We will help you choose the right domain name for your site. We will advise you on which registrar to choose, or you can leave all this for us to sort out.

Assign domain nameservers at the registrar

Once you have a domain name and a website you have to make sure the world will see it correctly. Glitches in this process can and do happen.

Check server performance daily

Sites always seem to go down on Friday evenings! We will be working directly with the tech team to get your site back up, usually before you even know there is a problem. Server uptime has been between 99 -100% on hosting servers at our datacenters.

Set up and maintain email accounts

This is another step that our clients could do on their own through each site's CPanel admin panel. Most prefer to let us set up their accounts for them.

Set up local email software to access domain mail

Sometimes new security measures make it impossible to access email. We appreciate that it is sometimes difficult to maintain multiple email accounts.
